  1. What makes Curlfriend Collective scrunchies different?
    These aren’t your average silk scrunchies. We designed them specifically with curls, coils, and waves top of mind with:
    100% mulberry silk (no polyester fakery here)
    Up to 13” of stretch to handle alllll the volume
    Extra silk for extra slip—no pulling, no creasing

  2. Are they good for all hair types?
    Totally. While we specialize in curl-friendly designs, our scrunchies are gentle enough for straight, fine, or wavy hair too.

  3. How do I pick the right size?
     Use this cheat sheet (or Take Our Quiz!):
    XL – Thick, curly, or coily hair and best for sleep protection
    Midi – Medium hair or a more subtle scrunch
    Skinny – Sleek, less-bulk with the same strong hold
    Mini – Braids, baby buns, or fine/thin strands (amazing for kiddos!)

  4. What styles can I create?

Care & Durability

  1. Will they stretch out?

     Slightly, yes—and that’s totally normal! Our scrunchies are made with durable elastic that’s meant to flex and hld. Avoid overstretching (remember, we designed them with all that stretch AND hold, so no need to strangle your hair ) and store loosely for longer life.

  2. How do I wash them?

     Treat them gently:
  • Hand wash in cold water with a silk-safe detergent
  • Lay flat to dry—no twisting or heat
    💡 Steam from your shower can help smooth wrinkles!
  • Bonus Tip:  Silk loves a little steam, so hanging your scrunchie in the bathroom while you shower can help maintain its smoothness!

  2. Where does your silk come from?
     All of our silk is ethically sourced from trusted partners in China—where the art of silk-making has been perfected for literally thousands of years.

👘 Fun fact: China is the birthplace of silk, dating all the way back to 2700 BCE. Legend has it, Empress Leizu discovered silk when a cocoon plopped into her teacup. (Relatable.) Since then, China has remained the global leader in producing the highest quality mulberry silk—and that's exactly what we use for every scrunchie, scarf, pillowcase and headband.

💡 So if you're wondering why most real silk comes from China—it’s because they’ve been doing it best for over 4,000 years.
